5. Events
Open, Ladies
5.1 Masters Qualifying (MQ) – 3 games will be bowled. A bowler may bowl as many times as
He/she chooses. The best 3 attempts (total 9 games) will be listed for ranking into the
Masters Qualifying.
5.2 Desperado Squad - One game will be bowled in this event on the last squad on Monday,
28 April 2014, and is for Men’s Open division only. A bowler must bowl at least 5 MQs to
be eligible.
5.3 Masters - Scores obtained in the best three MQs in respective divisions will be used for
Masters Qualifying. This event is open to those bowlers who have registered and paid their
Registration.

In the event of a tie for the last position in the qualifying round, the highest last game in the MQ will decide, i.e. the higher last game of the 3rd best 3-games. If there is still a tie, the higher 2nd last game will decide and will continue until the tie is broken.
6. Finals
6.1 Men’s Open
Best 33 bowlers qualified for this stage have to pay 100$ before starting first stage of finals

Stage 3 – Top 16 from stage 1

Stage 4 – Step Ladder (Top 4 from stage 2)
Match 1: 3rd against 4th will play own game.
Match 2: Winner of M1 against 2nd will play own game
Match 3: Winner of M2 against 1st position bowler on a beat twice format. In the event
that the 1st position bowler wins the 1st game, he will be declared the Champion.
The bowler with the 2nd highest pin falls on MATCH 1 will be placed in 3rd position while the bowler with the lowest pin fall will be placed in 4th position.
6.2 Ladies Open
6 bowlers will play 6 games.
Top 4 bowlers after the 6 games will go into the step ladder match.
Match 1: 2nd, 3rd & 4th bowlers will play 1 game
Match 2: Winner of M1 will play against 1st bowler on a beat twice format. In the event
that the 1st position bowler wins the 1st game, she will be declared the Champion.
The bowler with the 2nd highest pin falls will be placed in 3rd position while the bowler with the lowest pin fall will be placed in 4th position.
In the event of a tie in the finals / prior to the step ladder, the highest last game will decide. If there is still a tie, the highest 2nd last game will decide and will continue until the tie is broken.
In the event of a tie in the step ladder finals, one ball roll-off shall decide until the tie is broken.
REPORTING TIME
All Masters Finalists must check in personally 30 minutes to one hour before their respective roll-off times. Reserves will be called 15 minutes before roll-off. Any vacancy resulting from failure to check-in by any of the 2 stages in the Men’s Open finals, finalists will be allocated to the next reserved player(s).

2. Eligibility
This Tournament is open to local participants and all current paid up members WTBA affiliates. All overseas participants must obtain clearance from their respective National Tenpin Bowling Associations.
3. Averages
Overseas bowlers must produce written confirmation of their averages from their respective National Association or Congress.
4. Classification
Competition will be in 2 divisions:
4.1 Men’s Open - All men bowlers are eligible to participate in this division.
4.2 Women’s Open - All ladies bowlers including are eligible to participate in this
Division.
7. Registration and Fees
7.1 Registration (with 1 shirt)
Men and Women’s Open Division - $150.00 per person
Registration fee must be paid before commencing the first MQ.
7.2 MQs
Men and Women’s Open - $75.00 per bowler/attempt
7.3 Desperado
For Men’s Open only with a minimum of 5 MQs - $100
7.4 The 33 bowlers qualified for stage 1 of the finales a sum of 100$ to be paid after finishing
the desperado game.
7.5 ABF Tour. - $10 per bowler
8. Squad Times
If preferred squad times indicated on the entry forms are not available, the Tournament Directors or their Assistants reserve the right to reallocate squad times at their discretion. The Tournament Directors reserve the right to open additional squads.
9. Verification of Score
It is the responsibility of each bowler and/or the team captain to verify the correctness of each game bowled by signing on the official entry form of each event. Once signed, the score shall stand. Official score sheet without signature will be treated as correct and no protest can be brought against it.
10. Interrupted Games
Tournament Director may authorize the completion of a game and series on another pair of lanes when equipment failure on the lanes would delay the normal progress of the lanes. An interrupted game and series that cannot be complete must resume from the point of interruption.
In the event of any interruptions caused by power failure, the following procedure shall be followed:
- Any part of a game that cannot be recalled will be re-bowled from the first frame.
- If more than one game cannot be recalled, the series shall be declared null and void and a fresh series be rescheduled.
- If only one frame is missing, the bowler shall continue from the last frame bowled.
11. Registration of Bowling Balls, Illegality and Disqualification
All participants are advised to check their bowling balls used in the tournament are certified as legal for weight and other specifications before they compete in their events. The onus is on the bowler to ensure that all balls he/she uses are certified legal as above. If at any time a bowler is found to have used an illegal ball even if previously certified legal by the Tournament Office, he/she shall be disqualified from the entire Tournament and stripped of all his/her winnings or positions standing and if the Tournament Committee is of the opinion that such usage was deliberate and was intended to cheat, he/she may be further reported to the ABF Executive Committee for additional penalization. He/she may also be asked to return immediately to one of the Tournament Directors any awards that may have already been given to him/her.

17. Special Notes 17.1 Bowlers are requested to refrain from swearing on the lanes. 17.2 Bowlers shall restrict themselves to their respective lanes and exercise consideration for all participants. 17.3 Bowlers wearing soft rubber soles on their non-sliding foot may be barred from further bowling subject, to the scrutiny of the Tournament Directors. 17.4 The Tournament Directors reserve the right to accept or reject any entry they deem fit. 17.5 Any matters arising and not covered in these Tournament Rules will be decided by the Tournament Chairman, the Tournament Directors or the Tournament Committee whose decision shall be final subject only to appeal to the Egyptian Bowling Federation. Such appeal should be made in writing and within 48 hours of the decision by any of the above. Notwithstanding the above, an appeal FOR THE DECISION OF THE EBF may still be lodged with the Asian Bowling Federation but through the EBF. 18.
